If you have a 2.4 Vortexbox and execute a dnf update -y then your Vortexbox should have LMS 7.9.0 dated March 20, 2017. I am not pulling down the Nightly's and my 2.4 Vortexbox shows:

    Logitech Media Server Version: 7.9.0 - 0.150.20161204git1480516903 @ Mon Mar 20 17:30:59 EDT 2017

I believe this is the last Production update before moving onto LMS 7.9.1 available currently only via the Nightly's. If you have a 2.3 Vortexbox, executing a yum update I believe only begins down LMS 7.9 Dec 2016, if one always wants the latest Production one has to do the Squeeze Community Repository addition in the FAQ (what I do know for sure is doing the SCR on either a 2.3 or the one further down for 2.4 keeps you as current as possible with the latest Production version of LMS).

Interesting. I tried to upload from a USB flash drive but my computer did not offer USB as a boot alternative, so I had to make a bootable CD. That worked fine and now I have 2.4 and LMS 7.9. Am just finishing up the updates and will restore my files from the backup. Overall pretty painless so far. Will report back once finished.

2.4 is loaded, LMS 7.9 loaded. Restoring music files from USB backup. Something you should see. The Vortex Box menu is not displaying properly. Text is overlapping on all menu items making it difficult to read. Also DLNA and System Status appears to have been dropped, probably intentionally.

The Squeeze Community Repo is/was the nightly version but it lagged the nightly by 2-3 weeks. It is not a "Stable Release" version. I'm not sure what you mean by Production version. For clarity, M Herger has released 7.90 as a stable release and the nightly is now 7.91. I have read that Clive is no longer updating the SQ Repo, which may explain why it's still at Dec.
It appears that Andrew has updated the VB repo to include the 7.90 release and it can be obtained through the GUI Upgrade button if you have VB2.4. If you want the 7.91 nightly then the command line process is needed.

Production Release is usually considered one of two things, the version for Firmware or Serverware released on a purchased product or the latest and greatest sable version available to the public masses that would be on a new product just leaving the factory or available from the company as the latest newest approved for mass release version IE well tested and known stable; not Beta, not a Nightly.

I knew the SCR lagged the Nightly's by weeks, I may have misunderstood but it was also my understanding that the version available to the SCR was a stable past Nightly. Again my knowledge is based from 2005 though 2012 when I was an active Slim Devices/Harmony/Logitech Audio-Video Dealer and a member of the Hardware/Firmware Beta Testing Group. So I can't speak to what specifically is happening now, just what I thought was going on. Sorry if this caused any confusion but at the same time I can't see how a known unstable version would be allowed in the SCR. What I can't wrap my head around is why they would even let that happen unless it's completely automated that after 21 days, that Nightly goes into the Repo regardless if it's good or bad (just can't see that being allowed to happen).

Maybe it's just the terminology that's confusing, since until Michael "released" 7.90, all versions were beta and by definition unstable, including the SCR 7.9 versions. Clive would wait for a few weeks after the latest nightly had gone out to see if there were any issues and then he would add it to the SCR for VB users. Those who had put the SC version onto their VB could get the latest with an Upgrade. Andrews version of 7.9 was slightly different and would be removed if you were running the SC version or using the nightlies. Even though they were beta, the 7.9 nightlies we have been using for 3 years have been very stable.
The "production version" of LMS would be 7.75, the last version offered or supported by Logitech.
So, it appears that we really have these working sources for LMS...the version Andrew includes with the VB repo, which I believe is released 7.90 in VB2.4 and 7.8 in 2.3, then the released version of 7.90 which can be added from http://downloads.slimdevices.com/Log...Server_v7.9.0/, and then the nightlies of 7.9.1 from http://downloads.slimdevices.com/nightly/?ver=7.9
