"Bricked" Vortexbox

Help. Please!

After Plex suffered a security breach in August they recommended changing passwords after reclaiming ones Plex Server. In doing so I have somehow managed to "brick" my Vortexbox. I can reach the shares for my media but can not log into the Vortexbox. I believe it is a permissions issue but, unfortunately, I am total liability when it comes to using Linux and thus far have been unable to provide the correct syntax to unlock it.

When you say bricked you mean it won't boot up? Or can you boot up but can't log in using the Linux root password? I think the default is vortexbox - password but I could be wrong.
