VB backup format?

The backup program is in the menu when you connect with a browser but if as you say the Vortexbox died then the drive may be dead.

If the browser menu doesn't appear remove the drive and plug it in to your PC.

If you use Windows and can't see the files do not let Windows format the drive.

Use a live linux DVD or USB and boot your pc. The linux system will be able to read the drive if it hasn't died. Just copy the files you need

Anyone know what the VortexBox backup format is? My VB recently died, and I'm looking to try an alternative, but will need to pull all the media off of my backup drive.
