  • difficulty updating vortexbox via usb

I've followed the guides for making a bootable usb to update vortexbox, but I am having difficulties. I've tried installing versions 2.3, 2.4, and 2.5 by unzipping the files onto my fat32-formatted usb and changing the boot priority order on my server. I also always run the win32 makeboot program on the usbs. The two outcomes I have encountered are a perpetually blinking dash on the screen with the usb's activity led flashing, and other times I just see a message that says no operating system found.

The system I am using is a Small Green Computer with an Intel Atom d510 processor.

Has anyone else run into similar problems when trying to boot from a usb?

I would greatly appreciate any guidance.

Attached is a screenshot of the contents of the bootable usb drive. Does this look right?

What chip does the PC you're creating the usb stick with have, do you need to run the win64 makeboot version?
