How can I stop LMS without powering down Vortexbox?

Good morning.

Due to an updated plugin snafu, I need to delete a corrupted favorites.opml file and replace it with a renamed, good favorites.opml.backup file. To be on the safe side, I want to temporarily shut down LMS before I begin this process. Is it possible to shut down LMS without powering down the Vortexbox? If so, I'd appreciate learning how to do so.

systemctl status squeezeboxserver

systemctl start squeezeboxserver

systemctl stop squeezeboxserver
