Finally got the time to start to update my Vortexbox 2.4 (two discs)
Made fresh back-ups of storage and prefs, collected my notes, made a bootable usb, dug out the box from its hiding place, connected monitor and keyboard ...
all set ...

first wanted to try the upgrade mentioned a few times on a few threads on this forum (but was ready for the whole setup)

Hi - did you manage to update your install to v2.5 beta?

If not and you can use a remote console (or directly in the console on the vortexbox if you have a monitor installed) - the commands you need to upgrade the vortexbox and plex are below:

UPGRADE TO VORTEXBOX 2.5

dnf install dnf-plugin-system-upgrade

dnf -y system-upgrade download --releasever=25 --nogpgcheck --allowerasing

dnf system-upgrade reboot

UPGRADE PLEX

dnf install https://downloads.plex.tv/plex-media...236.x86_64.rpm

entered the box remotely with Shellinabox and followed the steps, waited patiently (skipped plex, because I don't use it) ...
after reboot, back online!

That went smooth (20 minutes + a full rescan), everything working, Vortexbox 2.5, Logitechmediaserver 8.2, MusicIP etc, etc
