  • Failed to move ldlinux.sys when making usb boot drive

I have created a USB boot disk on Windows 10 however when I tried to run the makeboot batch file (running as administrator) I receive an error saying it has not been able to move two files and when I tried to boot from this device I get a boot command and I can’t go any further. Try moving the folders and files you unzipped out of the "vortexbox-25-20190306" folder into the root directory of the thumb drive. The root directory of the thumb drive should include the folders for boot, EFI, home, live, syslinux, and utils.

I had the same issue as you, and moving the unzipped files up a level corrected the problem for me.
