Loging into the vortexbox using Cryptoterm

I looked up my Vortexbox IP address in my router configuration. It is 192.168.1.12. When I access the Vortexbox through the LMS it shows the address as simply Vortexbox:9000. I tried both and also tried http://192.168.1.12 and http://vortexbox:9000 but none of these got me connected using Cryptoterm. What am I doing wrong?

The following are notes I saved from a post by Ron Olson about the .m3u files. I recall doing this on an earlier version of VB.

By default, the VB Auto Ripper creates a .m3u playlist file in each album directory. I have never found a use for these playlist files. Here's how to keep them from being generated:

    . Edit /etc/ripit/config:
    nano /etc/ripit/config

    . Change the line playlist=1 to playlist=0

. Write the file (control-o) and exit (control-x).
Restart the Auto Ripper: In a browser, go to the VB Auto Ripper page http://vortexbox/ripstatus.php, and click the "Restart Auto Ripper" button

Sorry no. But for folder.jpg you can do a single batch delete from the musics parent directory to easily delete all these files at once.

in Cryptoterm, for "connection type" use ssh2. For port use: 22. Enter "192.168.1.12" without quotes for default server (don't put http:// in front). for User enter "root" (without quotes). For authentication method tick "password".
