  • VB and Cambridge Audio CXN (v2)

    Hello

Does anyone have any experience connecting VB (running on a Linux PC) to the Cambridge Audio CXN (v2)?

The CXN has a USB audio input so I'm wondering if I can connect the PC directly or if I need to connect both machines to the network.

    Any advice appreciated.

    Thanks

    Tony

Connecting it via the USB Type 2 B connector (the square-ish one) should work fine. Be advised there are two types of USB sockets on the device. The flattish Type A connectors for thumbdrives and external discs, and the squarish Type B connectors for streaming connections.

Go to the VB "Configure Player" screen, see where it shows up in the ALSA device list and configure accordingly.

I managed to get it working via my network after diggount various cables, a bit of messing around with LMS on the VB and the iPeng app on my iPhone. Which means I can hide the VB server in a cupboard!

      Happy listening
