myvortexbox does not "see" appliance?

This is more for interest rather than something being wrong, but if I enter myvortexbox.com on a PC on the network, it tells me there is no music server on the network. However if I enter the IP address in a browser I go to the UI screen immediately.

So what keeps the myvortexbox scanner from finding the appliance?
