Just picked up a small format 64 bit computer and installed 2.4 [was using 2.3 32 bit until now]. I can connect by IP address without any problem but typing myvortexbox.com or clicking the link at the top of this forum page does not see any music server?

How do I get myvortexbox.com to work?

Got it working - Gave the Vortexbox a static address and it works fine now using IP or myvortexbox.com

Many of us have never been able to use the MyVortexbox link to connect. It always returns the No servers found message. I have always used a static IP address but it makes no difference. The IP address works fine , so it's no problem.

It seems to work a. couple of times right after the installation and then stops.

Doris is correct - myvortexbox.com fails today - good thing the IP works

My Vortexbox.com is just to get you started after that it’s best to use a static IP address.

myvortexbox.com uses a protocol called mDNS (Google it).
Many domestic networks simply don't support it (or routers actively block it).
If you don't run a internal DNS server (which 99% of people won't) then a static (or reserved via DHCP) IP address is IMHO essential

Can I ask - which Fedora are you basing a new version on ?
