  • Favorite Music Artists and favorite Album from them

Who is your favorite artist, what is your favorite album from them, what is your favorite song on that album and if there is an all time favorite song that is not on that album list it. Next what is the favorite Album to show off your audio system and favorite single track? If you listen to a very wide variety of genres and need to name more then one by Genre feel free IE Favorite Classical, Favorite Jazz, Favorite Rock/Pop. I enjoy almost all genres so it is very hard for me to pick, but listening to other music lovers favorites can introduce one to some great new music.

Classical: I really just enjoy most of it

Jazz: Miles Davis, Kind of Blue, All Blue (perfection together: Davis, Evans, Coltrane) All Time Favorite Miles Davis, Stella by Starlight (again Davis, Evans, Coltrane)

Rock: Eagles, Hotel California, Hotel California

Stereo: Erich Kunzel and the Cincinnati Pops Orchestra, Time Warp, depending on which version one owns it's either track 1 Ascent, Introduction to Also Sprach Zarathustra or tracks 1 & 2, 1) Ascent 2) Introduction to Also Sprach Zarathustra (altered version). Most of the tracks on this Telarc CD will test and/or show ones system strengths or weaknesses.

Funny about Pink Martini, was completely unaware of them until they were on the display of the Slim Devices products in their ads. Now I have all of their CDs and of course Hang On Little Tomato was the first one because of the song Veronique, shown on the SB3, was on that album. Some of the best finds in music happen that way without knowing about an artist from having heard them on the radio. Some of the demo songs that high end audio shops use can turn one onto something one didn't know about but now enjoys once hearing it. In 1985 I bought a new VW Golf and had a complete sound system put in it with an Alpine CD/radio head unit, two sets of Infinity CS-1s, Rockford Fosgate Punch 75 for the mid-range and tweeters, Punch 150 for the woofers, and Punch 150 for the bass vent corner horn subs. The Audio Dealer brought me into the service garage when the install was finished, put Flim & the BB Tricycle into the Alpine and I was amazed. Have been listening to all from Flim and the BB's ever since.

Can't go wrong with Coltrane. Just ripped the Miles & Coltrane CD to my collection last night.
